Family & Children's Service of Ithaca is the primary private non-profit provider of mental health services in Tompkins County for children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and families.
We provide services to all persons without bias of race, gender, age, income or education level, sexual orientation, or religion.
Fees for service are reimbursable through Medicaid, Medicare, and private health insurance. Thanks to our United Way support and private donations, we are able to base the personal fee for our services on a flexible scale according to household income.

The key to happier, healthier, and more productive lives.
"A once in a generation chance to take a bold and necessary step forward. A historic moment in the life of the agency and our community."
These are the kinds of phrases that have been used to describe the exciting and compelling campaign Family & Children’s Service undertaken taken to acquire The Greenstate Building – a centrally located, state of the art facility on the West end of The Commons.
