Info

Join Deb Coolhart, PhD, LMFT; Associate Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University for this hour and a half workshop to develop your clinical skills at providing counseling and therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients engaging in non-monogamous relationships.

This workshop will address how queer couples are impacted by minority stress and both the challenges and resiliencies that emerge as a result. Core understanding of queer couples will be presented, including some of the unique relational dynamics they construct. The presenter will discuss unique dynamics occurring in couples including bi/pansexual partners and trans/nonbinary partners, as well as couple systems that negotiate consensual non-monogamy and polyamory.
