This workshop is presented by Elicia Blodgett, LMSW, youth and family therapist at the Advocacy Center and Lyn Staack, Domestic Violence Educator of the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County.
In this workshop participants will identify strategies to incorporate trauma-informed practice into building rapport and providing psychoeducation about domestic violence to teen clients. Participants will learn more about the impact of witnessing domestic violence, reflect on barriers to building rapport with teens, and develop considerations for connection building. This workshop is for professionals who work with youth, including mental health clinicians.
This workshop will provide 1.5 CEU credits for LMSWs, LMHCs, LMFTs, and Psychologists.
