Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 12:30-2:00 pm

Family & Children’s Services of Ithaca invite you to join Rob Riechel, M.S. LMHC, for a workshop exploring technological advances in play therapy.
This workshop will focus on creative ways to utilize some of the newest advancement in both technology and gaming to enhance play (both in-person and telehealth). This program will include reviewing popular video games such as “Minecraft” and “Roblox” as well as new technology such as “Biometric Feedback” and “Virtual Reality.” The course will cover therapeutic modalities and/or interventions that can be combined with these games as well as a brief overview of each game/technology.
Participants of this workshop can earn 1.5 CEU credits (for LMHC, LMFT, LCSW and LMSWs) by attending this program. This program is intended for a clinical audience, but may be of interest to members of the general public, particularly those seeking to understand elements of play therapy or to connect with their own children through some of the most popular children’s’ video games of today.
This hour long course will be followed by a Q&A session.
